Regulatory framework in the area of radioactive waste management in the Republic of Uzbekistan
Radioactive waste management and regulatory framework in Uzbekistan is based on application of laws:
- "On Nuclear Security" (2000 ).
- "On Wastes" (N 362, 2000) and Law «On Sanitary and Epidemiological Inspection and public Health» (1989).
Also the following are applied:
- "Criminal Code on Struggling with Illegal Use of Radioactive and Nuclear materials", (1994).
- Law «On Licensing of certain Kinds of Activities» (2000).
- La «On Transit of Hazardous Goods and Cargos» (2001).
- Government Resolution N 111 «On Licensing of Radiation Source Use», (2004).
«Main Sanitary Rules on Providing of Radiation Safety» (MSR −2002).
